Updates window: Plans include 12 months of updates + support starting on your purchase date for FileRise Pro v1.10.0.

Instance IDs: 12-month updates plans are tied to Instance IDs (1 instance Personal, up to 3 Business). You can enter IDs at checkout or bind automatically during first activation in Admin -> FileRise Pro. If you later add/reset bindings, the reissued key becomes your current key for future bundle downloads.

Keep what you bought: After 12 months, your current Pro bundle keeps working. Newer bundles may require a newer Pro API level, so renewal is only if you want new updates.

Local validation: Licenses validate locally (no recurring phone-home checks). Optional renewals are $29.99 (Personal) and $79.99 (Business) for another 12 months of updates + support.

All purchases issue a signed FRP1... license string and a Pro bundle ZIP. You can activate via the Admin → FileRise Pro screen, or by dropping a JSON license file into users/proLicense.json on your FileRise server.

FAQ about FileRise Pro licenses

Is FileRise core still free?

Yes. FileRise core is open-source and MIT-licensed. You can run it forever without buying Pro. Pro just unlocks additional features and helps fund development.

Do I have to pay every year?

No. Not a subscription. Your purchase includes 12 months of updates. After that, Pro keeps working; renewal is optional and only needed for new updates/support.

What happens when updates expire?

Nothing stops working. You just won't receive newer Pro bundles until you renew.

Example: Buy on today -> updates included until next year. You can keep using that Pro version after next year; renewal is only if you want newer updates.

How do Business licenses handle 3 instances?

12-month updates plans can be bound to Instance IDs. Checkout can collect IDs up front, or you can bind automatically from Admin -> FileRise Pro after purchase. You can add additional Instance IDs (up to 3 total for Business) at /pro/instances.php using your current license key. The same portal can reset/replace bindings for yearly licenses (limited to once every 30 days). After add/reset/rebind actions, use the latest reissued key for future bundle downloads and renewals. Instance IDs are shown in Admin -> FileRise Pro.

Can I switch from Early Supporter to a 12-month updates plan later?

Yes. Early Supporter is a one-time lifetime license for FileRise Pro 1.x. If you later want 12 months of updates for new bundles or business use, you can just purchase a 12-month updates plan and activate it on the same instance.
